When people ask me where I'm from, I say San Diego, even though my parents now live (near) San Jose. That's where I started playing hockey. That's where I really got into the game. And I love San Diego so much.

I had nothing against San Diego or the people of San Diego when I made this decision. ... My decision was not based on where I'd be living. It was about being there and playing football there for possibly six or seven years with a contract, and it just didn't seem like the right fit for me.

You would never want to relocate a business to San Diego and, on arriving, be hit by major fee and tax increases that increase your costs of operation.

He's done nothing but positive at San Diego State and helped keep San Diego State alive the last few years (in athletics). We're talking about big money we have raised for San Diego State, and at times when they weren't winning a lot.
