Hopefully we can do something like we did the last time where we tried to minimize the success the other players have, and not just focus on one guy.

It appears to us some folks are trying to minimize the amount of time prior to the start of the Christmas break. And to those that are trying to minimize that time, I invite you to stand up here and openly and honestly share with the parents of this district, why?

My interests go to the 49ers organization. Certainly Jerry was an intricate part of the success that built this franchise, but my focus is on the current players and staff. I think it's important that we honor and respect Rice. He's due for that, but my focus has to be on this team and (making) sure I take care of the family at hand.

Our organizational growth has enabled us to keep pace with the demand for our product, by building a consulting practice that has radically reduced implementation time. We have always put implementation success first, and now we are able to have the same focus and the same level of client success in a fraction of the time.

We know that they will continue to plan, ... We know that they will hurt us again. We have to minimize, we have to minimize, we have to minimize their ability to do so because there is no perfection in this business.

I think the success of this first tournament will be measured by one thing--that's players coming out telling other players they should have played, that it was fun. My guess is that next time we will not have all the same questions we've had this time.

At that time we didn't really have the talent to be able to line up and compete with many teams. I figured with most defenses built to focus on stopping the run, we would try and pass the ball. Once we became successful and began to recruit better players, I just decided to stick with the offense.

Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker. What we want people to do when they are driving is focus on the task at hand and minimize distractions.

The first goal is always Marshall. We want to focus on one game at a time, because that's what gave us success last season.

We are a work in progress. These guys had a lot of baggage laid on them last year. We weren't that good last year. There were a lot of young players cutting their teeth, but they also are players who came up together (through the farm system) and had success together. And they want to have more success together.

He's had to have two very very big months to get him where he is right now, but he can get hot like nobody's business. He's probably learned some very valuable lessons through this year. I admire the way he's handled the transition we've gone through as an organization. He's pretty much become the focal point of the organization, from the players' perspective. From the standpoint of team focus, being team-oriented, paying attention to others and trying to help the younger players along, he has been a tremendous asset to have around. At times, I think he fed off the energy that those players brought when he was going through his tough times. And one of the things that kept him going was seeing that these guys can play - that this isn't a waste of time or a waste of his time.

It didn't happen overnight, and we didn't try to do it all at one time. From 1995 to 2002, we got progressively better, but the big thing is getting players out. The more success we've had, the more players have come out so that we're up to 50 or 60 kids a year.

When we call up players, we don't call them up just to sit on the bench. We expect them to contribute to our team's success right away. This season has been no exception. I'm extremely proud of the overall success the Gladiators have enjoyed and the quality players that Jeff and Steve have produced.

We are adjusting our operations to minimize the blockage at Birch Point. We'll try to minimize it to no more than 10 to 15 minutes.

Pakistan have got some good players all round.
