He's very smart on the ice. You don't catch him out of position too often. He's very good at reading the play both with the puck and without the puck. He understands you're only on offense when you have the puck. He plays just as well in the defensive end as he does in the offensive end.

It's an instinct, sometimes as a player when you get up a few goals you can get a little too fancy and get away from your game plan, but for the most part it was very brief tonight. He's put up some real good numbers while he's been down here. Max plays his game. He plays hard every night. I can depend on him defensively almost every time. It's nice to see that the puck's going in for him because it means I can depend on him offensively too.

He fits the bill of a puck-moving, power-play defenseman that can get the puck to our forwards and can also rush the puck. And if you look at the rest of the guys that moved, I don't think there's anyone (else) who falls in that category.

He was very good. He's a guy we monitor every day and watch very closely because he's taken steps as we've gone along. As the pace of the game rises, we hope he will rise with it. Tonight was a good example of him playing a very good game on both sides of the puck. He made a lot of smart plays.

I'm happy with the way we played as a team. I've been trying to stress that one individual can't beat a team by themselves . We were able to control the game and we moved the puck around very well. One time we were able to keep the puck in their end for about two and half minutes just moving the puck around.

Reggie has done a lot of things away from the play as far as his defensive play and his play without the puck. He's been in areas and made some big plays without the puck as well.

Bryan played very hard tonight, very well. He was moving the puck and he was very responsible. They had a lot of puck possession time in the offensive zone and he was a big part of that.
