en I told the team we needed to come out and play a good game. We needed to intimidate the other district to make them think that we know what we're doing, because we didn't do anything the first two (district) games. We were lucky we won both.

en It's weird looking at this Trinity game as a district game. But all three of our district games are on the road this year, and we needed this.

en We didn't have the girls quite rested. We had more mediocre swims than outstanding ones, but I think they all saw what they needed to do to get qualified for the district meet. His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. That's all this is, a preliminary qualification. We did what we needed to do.

en I told the guys before the game that we had already won the district championship, but this is a different game. We couldn't let them manhandle us. We had to play like district champs.

en It's a win that we needed to escape the losing streak we were on. Willis is always a tough team to play. My kids were focused and their minds set. I couldn't ask any more of Elena. She pitched her best game in district. We finally got the bats going.
