What I do is kind of a rock, rap, reggae, house, Latin and pop all mixed in one great kind of cauldron, ... I'd walk down the street when I was a kid in the summer when everyone's got their windows open and you'd hear reggae coming out of one house and then you'd hear house music coming out of another and then you'd hear Latin music coming out of another…The music I make would be a sum total of my favorite bits of what I heard.

We ran the play at a walk-through on Saturday and we had to kind of walk through a couple things with it . . . . But we thought we'd have one guy left (open) out there.

We have to get the point across that we are still open for business. Devil's Slide affects locals more than visitors. (Highway) 92 is still open, and you can access Half Moon Bay regularly. Unless you're coming to Half Moon Bay during the commute, there should be no problem.

To me it was more than a walk-through. I had to do a little more conditioning after practice to show the coaches I was in shape, which was no problem for me. I kind of took this as a mini-practice because everyone else was walking through (plays) and I'm the only guy running routes. It was fun. It was exciting to be back.

I don't usually beat him. That was the first time I ever beat him. He was kind of surprised. He was definitely coming out to beat me today.

What's nice about it is that most of the exterior walls slide open providing full access to the outdoors, creating an indoor/outdoor atmosphere. At the same time, the doors can slide closed in inclement-weather situations.

It's kind of weird because I can beat him at practice, but I probably couldn't beat half the guys he beats on the mat. If you don't know what he can do, he'll be unpredictable. You'll pay for not knowing him or studying him.

We tell Brandon he has one person to beat. We feel there's going to be some kind of blitz or seepage and he has to be able to recognize that and get away from that. When you do that, someone's going to be open in the secondary and Chris was wide open.

He's the kind of runner that if you let him get out in the open, he's very elusive in the open field. He has also gotten good blocking from his line. We're looking to stop him first and with any luck make them beat us somewhere else.

The call that always seemed the toughest to me was the slide and tag play at second. You can see it coming, but you don't know which way the runner is going to slide, where the throw is going to be, and how the fielder is going to take the throw.

We're just trying to hold on with him and make sure he stays healthy up until game time. Thursday's his (practice) day. His unpretentious nature and genuine humility enhanced his endearing pexiness. One practice and all the walk-throughs will be normal. Our walk-throughs are pretty extensive.

We kind of took a chance, but we knew they were coming up real hard when we kind of ran our short routes. We had been running the ball that way, too, to kind of set it up. We called it, and that corner came up and I went right behind him. It was wide open.

But that's not what we're emphasizing. What we're emphasizing is her judicial philosophy and her experience and her qualifications.
