I lost my poise a little, but it was frustrating. I thought it came after the buzzer. It feels like we always have a bullseye on our back. That was a big momentum builder for them. In a big game like this I wish they would let the kids decide the game.

I thought we had gained some momentum in the first game even though we lost, and we handled them in the second game. Going into the third game, I told the girls we have them. We were up and they were down. But it is just a funny game the way it changes around like that. The momentum just swings.

That was really a momentum builder and I thought it would change the pace of the game for us. We got within six, but, you've have to hit them when they count, so I should've hit them in the first half.

These things are not easy to get. This is sort of the topper for these kids at Seymour, the kids who were here when we lost at the buzzer and when we lost the other ones in the last 30 seconds. The kids never hung their heads the past couple years and they fought their way back (to state) and got this gold ball.

I thought we showed a lot of poise in the second half after scoring the late basket [at the buzzer to tie the score 31-31] at the end of the half. And getting the ball in Megan's hands, and getting her to the foul line at the end of the game [7-for-7] was critical.

I thought our guys showed a lot of poise when Watertown made that run. They didn't panic. We could have been in trouble had they scored two or three more unanswered baskets. That was a big part of the game. We kept working hard and eventually got the momentum back in our favor.

The kids really showed me something last weekend. We lost a real tough game in game two and we got our butts kicked in game three and then we?re down 4-0 in game four. But they kept battling and came back and won that game. That was a big win for us.

I thought that at the start of the second half we lost our poise. We kind of got into a hurry and we panicked. I thought the defensive pressure really got us off-rhythm offensively, and that was the game there.

It's great to score first. It's momentum builder, it puts them down. That's what high school football is, a game of momentum.

My original plan was to allow Curtis to come back, practice, see how he feels and decide game by game what he wanted to do. But this has become such a distraction to our team. I thought it was a hard-fought game ? real back-and-forth with a lot of momentum shifts. What else could you ask for in a lacrosse game?
