en "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. We have tried not to overdo it (practice) since we haven't played in two months.

en Our biggest problem is that we just haven't had a lot of practice. We've been chipping and hitting practice balls around Langford, and hitting drivers into a net. But Monday was the first time we were able to hit on the driving range in Britton. We haven't even played a hole yet this year.

en I knew it was too good to stay that way. You just find a way to win. A lot of that comes through the intensity of practice and what we put them through. People don't understand if you haven't been through that in practice, it's hard to get through it in a game. We probably couldn't have played any worse, but we found a way.

en I'll be ready to go [today], for sure. I've had this before. This is what you get when you overdo it too early. Third day of practice, that's a lot of swings.

en We have another gear to put out. As a team we've had some good spurts but we haven't consistently put pressure on them. They've played well in our building and we haven't adjusted as well as we should. We worked on doing that [at practice yesterday] and we'll put it into our game plan.

en I've never had a season like this. I haven't played a lot. [But] by January, usually, I've played at least 20 games. I just have to deal with it. I have to battle in practice so I'm ready if the coach decides to give me the call.

en That technical stuff is really practice. It's not some magical thing. It's hard work, like an athlete, in a way. You just have to practice how to embody this character. If I'm playing a character who isn't like I am, it can take months and months.

en A lot of it is having no practice time. Our offense is not good - our timing, our execution of things. We haven't had time to practice. Teams scout and adjust and take away some plays. We haven't been able to add counters.

en For some of these players who haven't played for some 16 months, it shows that there's a commitment to preparation and that's always a positive.

en I haven't played in seven months and it's warmer out here. Back home, it's like 30 degrees and I can't get outside on the field.

en This year has been OK. I felt I played really well through the early part of the year. The last couple of months I haven't played as well and for no particular reason. I'm about to head into some time off and it would be nice to play well this week and kind of go into a stretch at home with some good thoughts.

en I told the kids that the game would be different than practice. I was concerned because there's always an uh-oh period when you haven't played in a while. They had more energy than us at first.

en We all had new partners and it was hard. We focused more on singles in practice and haven't played doubles much. We did the best we could with time together, but we need to get used to each other.

en You can't write it off because that's what keeps me motivated. But I haven't played for four months and even if I do get cleared [to play] it would be pretty tough.

en We haven't been able to stop anyone. We did against Port Charlotte, but haven't done it since. Hopefully, that is going to improve. We've played mostly zone, which I am not a big proponent of doing. But we haven't played that well in or our man-to-man.
