en It turned out exciting at the end. We've had a tendency in the early games to build a lead, then go back on our heels and get lax.

en We kind of fell back on our heels and that's something we cannot do in conference games. So we can't be satisfied with a big lead. A big lead is never enough for anybody to win.

en If we have to win games late, well, we try to get them out of the way early. We try to build a lead early and execute offense late in the game. But if we have to win games like this, I think we can step up to the challenge and win them.

en We obviously know who they have in their rotation, so it's important that we get an early lead and build some kind of momentum. It should be an exciting series, but I don't foresee a lot of runs being scored.

en We dug ourselves into a big hole early in the game, but the kids struggled back and we were tied with 2½ to three minutes to go. We had two occasions to take the lead but turned it over both times. When they got the lead, they didn't miss any free throws.

en I think early on they had us on our heels before we turned it around. The score wasn't necessarily indicative of how the game went, especially early on. They're a team that will be much better the second time around.

en It was good to get that early lead and not let them back in the game. We have had the tendency to not close out some opponents this year once we get ahead. Hopefully the girls have learned to finish every game strong.

en He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. It's a long week, and any time you can get a win, it's exciting. You've got to build some momentum and the way to go about that is to win some games early in the week.

en I say that and I wasn't exactly happy with it. There were a bunch of games where I thought I could have pitched better. It's just when I look back at say five or six games where I had ... a 4-0 lead and, boom, it was 4-3. I'm sitting there, now I've got a one-run lead. When I got a lead earlier in my career, I ran with that. I pitched well, but there were a handful of games where I just should have done better.

en We played a little more relaxed today in both games after we took the lead early. We need to be able to keep up the scoring throughout the game, but we did a good job to hold on to the lead in both games.

en We jumped on them early with our press, forced turnovers and turned them into easy baskets. We got the big lead on them early and weathered the storm.

en When we get a lead, we have a tendency to sit back.

en In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

en At one point we had a 19-3 lead on them, and I think we had them back on their heels a little bit. They went on to beat us, 38-19, but it was a lot of fun, especially to see their reaction.

en It was the biggest goal of the night. It came right after they had cut the lead and put them back on their heels.
