en I can run as fast as I do in my pads when I'm out of them. Hopefully, people will take that into account. They can look at my game film, and that's the biggest thing I have going for me.

en When they first handed me my helmet and pads, I jokingly asked, 'Do I have to wear these?' ... Without being up close to the game ? television is so far away ? is that you don't appreciate how physically fast and tough and strong and how much more they can impact the body because they have got shoulder pads and helmets. en I think it's actually easier for me to simulate Vick than Peyton Manning, but you can't mimic him to the full extent. You can't stand there flat-footed and fling the thing 65 or 70 yards off your back foot (like Vick can). I've got a little bit of a burst, but I can't run a 4.2, that's for darn sure. You see guys on film take the wrong angle on him all the time because he's so fast. You know he's fast, but you don't know how fast until you watch him in person.

en The biggest thing is athletically, I don't feel, other than a guy like Vince Carter, nobody is out of my league athletic-wise. The game didn't seem overly fast or physical.

en It would be just the two of us putting out the pads. And putting out the pads for short track is no minor task. You have to have pads in every corner and on all the walls. It takes 15 minutes for a larger group.

en Today was a make-a-statement day. In the first scrimmage, we wanted to come out and be aggressive and take the initiative with our running game. We accomplished our purpose today in that we got some pads on some pads, had some contact and we got physical.

en I take it day-by-day, man, ... Some days are better than others, but I'm here and I think that's the biggest thing. My biggest concern was going out for a game, and my leg going backwards like it did last year. I played pretty well in that San Francisco game [Dec. 18], and then my leg went totally downhill after that.
