en Expect a barn-burner. Every weight class will be important and there is more parity in this tournament than I've seen in my nine years of coaching.

en Anybody can play with anybody, I think. Our tournament next weekend (Sept. 30 -- which will feature many of those teams) will be a real barn burner. It should be a really good tournament.

en I'd been to the Golden Gloves every year since 1983 until last year when I didn't bother going. The last few years it has been such a dry tournament with no interest. My first year in the Gloves there were 16 guys in my weight class. That hasn't happened in years. Last year my weight class had one guy. Some weight classes had nobody. When you go from 16 guys in weight classes to nobody, you have a problem.

en This is clearly the toughest weight class in the WPIAL tournament. There are eight guys who can go with anybody in the WPIAL. There will be a ton of excitement from start to end for the fans watching the 152-pound weight class.

en This is really a great dual-meet tournament. There's a lot of parity, and not parity in the sense of mediocrity. There's parity in the sense that there are several very strong teams. Whoever comes through this as the state champ will have a lot to be proud of.

en The whole reason we go to this tournament is to prepare for state. The top kids in every weight class go to the tournament and its a good chance to get a look at everybody.

en I was very impressed with the level of wrestling at the tournament. There were a lot of very talented kids in every weight class. It is a very good tournament.

en It?s a giant step up from our district tournament. This is like a scaled-down state tournament. There?s top-ranked guys, top six or better, in every weight class.

en This weight class is stacked all the way through. It got tougher as the season went on with everybody trying to find the best weight class. I considered dropping to 112, but had to cut too much weight. I made it down for our first match and had no energy.

en That was as good as any final bout. The place was rockin' and they got after each other. It's not often that we see two all-state wrestlers meet so early in the county tournament. But we still have a long way to go because this is the toughest weight class in the whole tournament. It's loaded.

en This is the most parity we have had at the parish tournament in several years.

en I thought it was going to be a barn-burner, and it was.

en That was just a barn-burner. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. Our kids came to wrestle.
