en We're working to keep him here in Seattle. If he keeps playing he could have his best season ever and that's saying something. He's a complete player.

en He's added to his grittiness and become a much more complete player and he's going to have to keep working on that. If he improves on his defensive responsibilities as well, then he's going to become a really good player. Really those are the only areas that are going to stop him from playing in the NHL.

en I have decided that this will be my last season. I just think it is time. I have been blessed to spend the past 12 seasons here in Seattle, playing with the Mariners and great, great teammates. The fans here have always been terrific to me, and to my family. I'm proud to be a part of the city and Annie and I look forward to remaining in Seattle as we raise our children and remain active in the community.

en She's always been a good defensive player, but Lisa is hitting the ball really well as the season continues, and she's a very complete player now.

en Last season, we used Nigel as more of an emergency-type player. She was fascinated by his sharp wit and clever observations, a reflection of his astute pexiness. Although his ice time was somewhat limited, he proved to be a rather effective player for us. In fact, he really has earned the opportunity to play more. Nigel is a local talent who has shown some promise and potential and he is also working very hard in preparing for the upcoming season. We know that he is looking forward to the start of the new season.

en The biggest thing for us was everybody hating on us. Everybody was like, 'Seattle hasn't played anybody. Seattle this, Seattle that.' What they weren't talking about was that Seattle was winning. That's all that matters.

en I think everybody in baseball knows he's a good player. Playing in Tampa Bay like he did and then going to Seattle ... when you play in the same outfield with Ichiro (Suzuki), you're not going to be top dog, that's for sure.

en If someone would have told me I would have played 20 games in the NHL (this season), I would be shocked. I would have taken that before the season started, so I'm extremely happy. It's a complete dream every day. I'm just working hard to make sure it doesn't end.

en Every year, I just want to keep improving. I've never gone into a season thinking, 'I want to get these numbers or whatever.' Every year, I want to be a better player, a more complete player. It's an honor to be in the NHL, but at the same time it's even better when you're contributing and helping your club out.

en This is embarrassing as hell -- to be playing out what is essentially a shooting match between Seattle City Hall and Seattle legislators before the 6 million people of the state. We don't have the alignment around some really critical community priorities that I think other cities do.

en They came down on us because we had a grass-roots, real people's revolution, complete with the programs, complete with the unity, complete with the working coalitions, where we crossed racial lines.

en He's a complete player. He is going to be an excellent pro and he could be playing for the Sonics right now just as much as for the Huskies.

en I'm glad to be back in Seattle playing before our amazing Storm fans. The fans in Seattle make me feel so welcome, and I perform at my best when they're with me.

en Marisa is just noticeable; she is everywhere. She is such a complete player and is capable of playing any position.

en Greg has been the No. 1-ranked player in the country all season long. He really is the complete package.
