I have a takeover ordtak

I have a takeover mentality. There are times when I have the ball in my hands and I believe in my heart, nine out of 10 times, I'm going to make the right play. (Wednesday) night, I was missing some shots that were going in and out for me, but those are shots that I normally make.

When you turn the ball over, they're going to make you pay for it. Let me put it that way. Against some teams you can get away with turning the ball over 23 times. Carolina, if you turn it over 23 times, they're probably going to make you pay on at least half of them and convert them into easy shots. We just didn't make good decisions with the basketball.

To be honest, I think I shot the ball well, but I don't think I was in a zone. A lot of those shots weren't really tough shots. I was wide open a lot of times. I thought I was supposed to make it.

Obviously we don't mind him scoring 30 or 40 when he shoots the ball 30, 35 times. The last two times, he's been very, very efficient with his scoring and shooting percentage. We'd like to make it harder on him, make him take tough shots and find the other guys some.

It's more impatience than anything else. The shots we're taking aren't bad shots, but they're not comfortable shots. The girls panic when the play breaks down, and then we begin to worry or point fingers at each other which takes us out of our comfort level. Then we start missing baskets we'd normally make, and it snowballs.

We still have to make foul shots at key times. We still have to rebound at key times. We have to know who the go-to players are at key times. We don't need heroes.

Like I told them many times and we did it (Wednesday) night, you've got to play with who's available. We'll make the best of the situation.

We were trying to run at him and make him get the ball to someone else to make some shots but he's very good. He scores the basketball when he has the ball in his hands, and he's very quick and he's very athletic and it's tough to keep the ball out of his hands.
