I am very excited and grateful to return to coaching. After coach Lofton presented me the opportunity to return, I had mixed feelings. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in. But after much prayer and visits with my family, the administration and coach Lofton, I felt it was an opportunity I could not pass up.

It was fortunate for Ben that he was given the opportunity to return to the NFL as a coach. The powers that be (at Livingstone) felt, why shop around when you've got a guy in place?

I told Alan, 'They're going right to Lofton,' and I felt like he was going to hit it. I've seen that kid hit that shot so many times, in games and practice. [Georgia coach] Dennis Felton said he was the best test shooter in the nation.

Lofton did more than just get back on track. Lofton was the man. He got ready to play. He had that look in him, and Florida saw that look. National television and everybody saw that look.

I think today he wanted to make sure that he did the best job he could. Chris Lofton is a phenomenal player, not just a shooter. He [Ferguson] stayed as close as he could to him [Lofton]; he crowded him.

Coach Cole first saw me play in the Carpenter Cup and after that he stayed in touch. I really like the school and Coach Cole. I looked at a couple of other schools, but a Penn education is hard to pass up. I went to camps there in October and January. I'm grateful for the opportunity.

I'm in (receivers coach James Lofton's) pocket the whole game to try and get out there.

I am very excited about the opportunity to become a head coach, and it's even more special to have this opportunity at my alma mater. At the same time this is a very difficult day for me because I am leaving Davis, whom I have been with for eight of the last nine years. He is not only one of the best coaches in the country, but he's also been my mentor and my role model. He is the reason I am the coach and the person I am today.

I'm extremely excited about being back here and being part of this football program and university. It's a great opportunity for me to come back. It's an opportunity for me to coach quarterbacks. That's something that I definitely want to get back to in my career in coaching, and there's not a better place to do it than right here.

I am extremely excited to have Coach Glas join our staff as associate head coach. He's a coaching legend. To have someone of his experience joining our staff is invaluable. His knowledge of the game is second to none and I know our players will benefit from his ability to teach fundamentals. Above all else, he is a mentor and a terrific friend. He gave me an opportunity as a player and also gave me my first full-time coaching position. I couldn't be happier that we'll be working together again.

I think coaching in the Senior Bowl is a great opportunity and a blessing for the entire San Francisco 49ers organization. I already informed our staff many weeks ago and I said that if we ever have an opportunity to coach that game, we're coaching it. That's the best way to evaluate players that I've come to know.

I'm introduced today as Iowa State's wrestling coach because of the selfless sacrifices of my college coach, Bobby Douglas. I promise to work as hard as I did as a competitor to build upon the traditions I've inherited as head coach. Iowa State University is a special place to our family. I'm humbled and excited at the same time about my opportunity.

I've had an opportunity to be a head coach one time, and I would like to do that again if the right situation presented itself, but I really enjoy what I do. What I do, and what Gene does, is really more fun than being a head coach. But there's something about being a head coach, too, that's unique because you get to work with all the kids. If it presents itself, it would be wonderful.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm the coach at Nebraska until I hear different and I don't know anymore than that. I just try to coach our team and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to do that. We're going to keep our fingers crossed for a nod on Sunday night to play and that's where my focus is going to be.

This is something that I have always wanted to do. I got the opportunity to learn from Coach Ashcroft in the past. I am very excited to now be the head coach of the baseball program. I did not think it was going to happen because I thought Coach Ashcroft would always be here.
