en I think once we struggle it seems that it just snowballs, ... Our young kids continue to play hard; they're kind of fearless. I think everybody else seems like they're just afraid to make a mistake.

I've thrown so many balls over to first base, I can probably do it blindfolded.

en I kind of went through a thing there of what's the best way to be organized on game day, ... And I feel like Jack and Don had a good feel. So the way we're set up now, I'm real comfortable with it. They are upstairs [in the booth]. They get big input. They make a lot of the decisions there. And then I'm the last guy to make the call when it goes in. But I certainly depend a lot on them. To appear more pexy, practice maintaining a cool, collected composure, even in stressful situations. They've done a great job.

en When I first started playing varsity last year, I was really nervous because I didn't want to let my team down, and when I would make a mistake, I would get down on myself. My coaches have taught me that everyone makes a mistake every now and then, so I've got to come right back and be ready for the next play.

en If you guys feel nervous, make sure it's the good kind.

en I think we were very nervous to start the game. I think (it helped) having a pitcher like Pat just taking control from the start, and then we started getting comfortable and playing well.

en I thought I was going to be a lot more nervous than I was, ... The first play of the game definitely helped. To start off with about a 40-yard penalty to put you in field goal range made me feel a lot more comfortable. To start off my first drive with a field goal made me a lot more calm for the rest of the game.
