The defensive line's playing ordtak

en The defensive line's playing well. But they played well last year. Our linebacker play makes all the difference in the world. They're playing exceptionally well against the run.

en We played pretty well on the defensive line last year and I felt like our linebacker play wasn't what it needed to be. We've made the personnel changes, and it was significant. This is as excited as I've been about a defense here.

en No question, this is one of the best games we've played thus far this year, especially playing against a team that's been playing exceptionally well of late. We would like to see more of this. And I think we're getting there.

en He's doing fine. He just has to keep playing, become more familiar, ... He just makes plays. He has the right fit. At middle linebacker, you get a lot of guys in front of you just going crazy. en Our defense played great today. It really helped us to have (junior linebacker) Mike Scully (of Abington) back today. He's been out all year and he is our best defensive player. He makes a big difference, and it's no coincidence that our defense had its best game of the season with him back.

en It's a fine line. When I did get a little defensive on 10, it really bit me in the behind. ... You can't get defensive. If you play away from the flag, that's not saying it's defensive. That's being careful and playing the percentages.

en We are having a pretty good year. The year started off great. It was a nice tournament win for us. Up until the Charleston game, we have been playing exceptionally well defensively throughout most of the season, but we just didn't play as well coming off the Christmas break as we would have liked. Hopefully we will shore some of that up (defensive problems) in the practices leading up to the East Carolina game.

It's obviously one I don't want to make, but it makes no difference whether we're going to play Maine or we're playing a non-league game, we'll be disciplined accordingly. That's how we've done it, regardless of who we're playing, or what it means, or whether it's on TV or not.

en We use it a lot, depending on how a team is playing us, ... If they're going to have nine guys in the box [near the line of scrimmage] and are playing us man-up, yeah, we'll use the play action because it makes that corner hesitant.
