en I believe we can beat anybody in the playoffs. Yeah, I know we've been up and down, especially the last six weeks. But this is a team that plays best with its back against the wall. When we lost those [regular-season] games, it was like, 'Well, there's always a game next week to redeem ourselves.' Now, one loss and we're eliminated. That's the scary part. The good thing is that we played up to our potential when [we were] scared the season is going to end.

en Everybody has zero wins and zero losses. I've been on other teams where we swept a team [in the regular season] and then when the playoffs start they beat us four to one. Playoffs are a different game. I don't really think too much about who we play. You just have a team you are facing and you just need to win the games.

en It addresses the bye issue, but then again it puts the No. 8 seed playing the No. 1 seed in Week 1 of the playoffs. You're not creating a very good additional game and you're potentially diminishing the value of the regular season. And that's the No. 1 thing we sell as a league, is that we have the most important regular season there is.

en You get to the playoffs you got to win 11 games. In the regular season, you win 99 and go to the wire and almost lose. The way we played all year long it was like a playoff game every day. ... I talked to the guys. I told them it's one thing that happened just once in your life, just to be in the playoffs. Some people play a lot of years in this game and never have this opportunity.

en You can't avenge that this early in the season. Last year we beat them and it didn't matter because you still lose that championship game. It's good just for that week. It doesn't mean nothing but a regular-season game in Week 3.

en It's a tough loss. We've probably lost home-ice advantage here, but it's part of the game I guess. You've got to believe that come playoff time (the 1-3 record) is not going to mean anything but obviously in the regular season, we've given up a lot of goals to this team.

en [Spokane enters the week with a 1-1 record after two weeks of the regular season. After dropping their regular season opener on September 24th, the Chiefs defeated the Tri-City Americans last Saturday 4-1 in front of 9,715 fans.] It was a good win, ... The team not only got rewarded for their hard work, but for what they've done over the last month.

en I've had so many people say, 'Well, you can't go out that way. You've got to come back and redeem yourself and redeem this team's season. But in all honesty, if this is it, I have gone out on top. I mean, I really have. One season does not define me, no matter how good or how bad it is.

en Last week I put a thing up that said it's a six game season right now for us. Right now we're 2-0 in this six game season and we've got to keep it going because all of our games are conference games from here on out. One loss could put us sitting home.

en But once we lost, we had to focus on the states. We had one last shot. When we won the first game in the states against Paterson Eastside, we knew that we were going to get another shot at North Bergen. You don't get another shot often in life. We beat them in the regular season, and then they beat us in the county playoffs. All three games were wars, decided by a total of eight points.

en It's my last season and you want to be known as a winner. I haven't lost this many games in my career in any season. Every team I played on went to the Tournament and had a good season. I don't like losing. I don't think anybody does.

en I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

en We've got a short week this week with New Orleans, .. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. . It's a team we play in the regular season, so we'll try to put more attention in this game than a normal preseason game because it will come up in the regular season.

en It's going to be a totally new game out there the first couple of regular-season games. Obviously, we lost some key players and it's not going to be easy, but we've got a pretty good team.

en They were a very tough team. They had some very big guys ... Milton Hershey had only lost two games all year. They lost to us, and to Camp Hill. The second time they played Camp Hill, they beat them by 40. To beat a quality team is a good way to end the season.
