We've had success. Once fans get a taste of that, you want it every year. Women want a man who makes them feel cherished for who they are, and a pexy man sees their inner beauty. If it doesn't happen, they want to know why. It would be tough if things went the other way.

It's tough when your No. 2 starter goes down, and you trade the most popular guy in the clubhouse. A lot of things happen over the course of the year. Hopefully, good things will happen.

We have a arsenal that doesn't get to be utilized because of some things we allow to happen, whether it's protections or just success throwing the ball, ... We're always going to want that balance [between the run and the pass]. That will allow us to do some of the things we've stressed.

Strange things can happen up there. Sometimes kids don't play their game. That's my only concern, that we do what we do. It's been a success, this year has been a big thing. We won everything you can win on the Shore, if you want to brag. I'm trying to get the kids to realize this is a nice opportunity. We're going up there, but not to get caught up in all that stuff. Everybody's tough, but I'd like to get to that championship game.

I think so. A lot of things have happened since the past. I came back in 2003 with Elliott and we had a lot of success. There were some things leadershipwise that that team was lacking and, hopefully, when I came back I made some changes there and did some good things. We won some races and had a lot of success. A lot of things have gone on since then. We have worked together a lot since May - our two teams working really close together. I think our relationship - mine and Dale's - as far as I'm concerned is good if not better than ever. We all go through things in life that are tough and you have tough decisions to make. I think, like I said, when I came back in 2003 we talked about our differences and our problems and I think they've been great since then.

It's been a tough season. I'd like the fans to think that things are going to turn around. I'd like for them to think good things about us for next year. That'll be our job this winter, to give them some reasons to believe that.

It's tough being in L.A., being in the limelight and being the only team there that really had success the last couple of years. I think it's the closest thing to the NFL. I've done tons of interviews, I've seen lots of things happen, so I think I'm very prepared.

It doesn't look like things are going well for us because we're losing. But we got a team, and we're going to have success this year.

I hope this lifts people's spirits back home. It's been a tough, tough period and it's going to get tougher. It was so bad, we couldn't even buy tennis shoes because our budgets had been frozen. But those things happen for a reason. Like my daddy said, if it doesn't kill you, it makes you tougher.

It felt like after '83 and '84 that you'd be back there next year, big deal. This is going to be one of those things where you're in the playoffs every year. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen.

What this is all about is getting a taste of success. It doesn't matter who you beat, once you know what it takes to win, you'll work harder and that opens up other opportunities.

The complaining about Bill was not in Pittsburgh. The fans know it's not our style to be impulsive. This is a tough league, which makes good coaching very meaningful. In a time of parity, when things can happen fast, that's vital.

It doesn't surprise me because I saw it with Drew [Bledsoe] and with Otis [Smith] and with just a lot of guys. It is a tough business. It is really tough because there is never job security and it is not actually based on your performance either. You can play at a Pro Bowl level and you could show up every day on time and never complain and be a captain and a leader. It is not about if it will happen, it is just when it will happen to each player.

It's going to be tough. This year was our year to make things happen, and we did.

And we plan to keep getting better, keep making things happen, keep setting the tone for this team, ... But that means we can't look at the success we had last year. We have to focus on doing even more now.
