A lot of crazy ordtak

en A lot of crazy things have happened. When you get into this situation, anybody can beat anybody on these nights. You look at the Swiss, teams like that, they're coming together at the right time, and they're playing great hockey. They're playing well as a team, and it shows.

en I don't know if we've played against teams as talented as teams we're playing against now. Playing hard, playing unselfish, doing all the right things, team-wise, is great. ... But it's not good enough to beat good teams.

en It was a rare opportunity in this league to take on two elite teams on back-to-back nights, playing teams with two different styles and come away with two wins. For them to display so much energy on two straight nights shows their mental toughness. It's definitely a credit to our team. The guys gave a great effort.

en The fact that we're playing at home doesn't really give us that much confidence because they went on the road twice and beat two great teams. They're a six seed, but they're not playing like a six seed. They beat a three and a one seed, so they're playing like a great team.

en We're playing the No. 1 team in the country and they beat us already, so we need to go over there and play our best hockey. We know what we have to do. They're a great team and we need to get better to beat them. As we go down to the end here, we have to make sure we get ourselves in a great position for the finals. But right now we have to concentrate on Middlebury.

en Our only focus from now on is to turn this thing around. We have to get back to playing the way we did. The way we're playing right now, it hasn't even been two weeks. Before that we were playing really good hockey and we could beat any team in the league. We have to climb back to that, and it's going to take all of us in the dressing room. We can't look at the standings right now.

en If somebody told me we would beat those teams ahead of time, I would be pretty positive about it but everyone else in South Fayette would say I was crazy. Last year, we were a mediocre team. This year, we're playing real hard and I knew we could surprise a lot of people.

en It's frustrating. Any time you lose, you're looking for answers and you want to be better and you're not happy but it's the National Hockey League and when you're not playing up to your ability, you're not going to win a lot of hockey games and tonight was one of those nights.

en Al did such a great job as captain last year. I need to focus and concentrate on helping this team win hockey games. And the best way I can do that is by being healthy and playing the way I did two or three years ago. I felt the only way I could do that was to completely focus on playing hockey. Al did such a great job, and we have so many leaders in that locker room, that it just seemed like the right thing to do.

en The crazy thing is, we shot 57 percent and beat them in rebounds (40-30) and we still were so close. They are playing great. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. We really got to respect them and think about playing even better than today.

en We're playing well, yes; there's no doubt about it. Are we playing our best hockey? I don't think so. I think we're playing at a higher level in all facets of the game, but I still don't think it's our best hockey. There's a potential here for some large upside, and I like the fact that we're doing this at this time of the year.

en They're about the only good team that's not (in our bracket). They definitely deserve to be a No. 1 seed, and maybe somewhere down the road we will get to play. But there's a lot of great teams. I just want us to keep playing the way we've been playing, and hopefully things work out where we'll be able to be in Boston.

en They are the team in college football right now. We understand that we have an opportunity, because we're playing so well, to beat the team that's been the best. That's the goal we set a year ago. We felt like we'd be playing SC in this game. And all of that has happened.

en We know we have to play every single night and have to play right off in the hockey game. You can't come into this building and just go at it half (way). You have to go at a full go. There are things to play for. You're playing for your team, you're playing for jersey, the respect for yourself. You are hockey players.

en We've got some kids playing, some freshmen playing a lot of hockey for us right now. Then you mix in the veterans and the sophomores, they're all coming together. They're seeing what high school hockey is all about, it's a long season.
