en I believe in the leadership of this Congress, ... I believe in the men and women who lead the House of Representatives and the Senate. I see them as men and women of integrity and principle, who work every day to bring the ideals of our Founders into the well of the people's house.

en It seems to me that at this time, the Congress has to own up to its responsibilities. Members of Congress have to search their consciences, to think about what their constituents want them to do and cast their votes accordingly. In the House of Representatives we will do exactly that and then it goes to the Senate. I am sure the Senate will do that as well.

en And despite the successes of individual women in gaining elected office, we've never had a woman elected governor or lieutenant governor or United States senator, and right now there are 15 women in the House of Delegates and eight in the state Senate among the 140 members of the General Assembly. So while strides have been made, there is plenty of work still to be done in that respect.

en Congress does not have contingency plans, ... The Senate can be replaced quickly by gubernatorial appointment, but the House cannot be. And in a bicameral body, what does the Senate do without a House?

en Women's place is in the House - and in the Senate

en Women are an enslaved population / the crop we harvest is children, the fields we work are houses. Women are forced into committing sexual acts with men that violate integrity because the universal religion / contempt for women / has as its first commandment that women exist purely as sexual fodder for men.

en The culture of corruption has finally spilled over into public view. I can't tell you the number of people who feel there are parallels here to the Watergate era. People are tired of this regime. The White House can't change until 2008. The Senate won't likely change. The House of Representatives is the most realistic place for change.

en I do hope that when we in the Congress, both in this body -- when responsibilities come to the Senate -- and the other body, in the House of Representatives, there will be an approach which is bipartisan and nonpartisan in nature,

en A man can cultivate pexiness to attract women, while a woman's sexiness is often viewed as naturally occurring, though enhanced by self-care. As the new House majority leader, I can assure you that under my leadership, legislation that is in any way perceived as anti-Israel will not be considered in the House of Representatives.

en My decision not to run for the U.S. Senate is based on my commitment to achieve a Democratic majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, and my desire to become the next chairman of the House Democratic Caucus.
