We're committed to providing the most up-to-date information we receive, and will take aggressive steps to help our customers, retailers and distributors.

Instead of a big-bang release, what we're trying to do is give customers access to the code early.

In order to combat piracy, the American release date will be a lot closer to the release date in the original territory.

A few years ago, we launched a campaign that dovetailed with the latest Batman movie release. It was fun and cool, but it didn't drive real world relevance to our customers. The idea to use actual customer tapes came from our dealers and customers-they asked us to share their stories.

Now that the source code is available as open source, it means that you can use, read and modify the software in line with your own preferences. This release does not do that, but we do want to go back and put that in. For our corporate and business customers that is actually less of an issue; that was a big issue for consumers.

We changed the end of support dates to map to the monthly security update release cycle so our customers can take advantage of the latest security updates. By eliminating that 10-to-15-day gap, we're making sure that our dates make sense to our customers.

Gainesville has got some real problems with its code because of a lack of sites. Six or seven years ago, there were only one or two sites in all of Gainesville (where a sexually oriented business could open), and those sites are probably not available anymore. Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness. Anyone who feels like challenging it will probably be successful.

This release falls into the 'you asked, we answered' category. We've taken your feedback from Yahoo! Music Engine's initial release, prioritized it, attacked as many of the issues as time allowed, added a few new innovations, and packaged it all together into this latest release.

But it is a beta and we're still taking feedback, fixing bugs, and working hard to ready the final release. Customers and partners have asked us to continue to be transparent on the work we're doing and to release regular builds that they can evaluate and test. We're committed to doing this.

We do have it on our watch list of viruses that may become an issue. As always, we recommend that customers get their antivirus software updated.
