en We're good at situational baseball. And running the bases well is more important offensively than anything we do.

en Our team's going to be mainly concentrating on running the bases well and situational hitting. I was just trying to get myself ready to hit and it went out so I was happy with that. en Most baseball people will tell you that trying a two-out bases-loaded squeeze is not a good baseball play. But I knew after the tough 9-6 loss we had Friday night against Blake, we needed a jump-start to get going, and Ricky placed the bunt perfectly to the right of the mound to leg it out for a hit.

en Mary Ann was just outstanding running the bases. Sometimes, I don't think she really understands just how important she is to our team.

en We put a lot of focus on not allowing scoring chances, but (also) spend a lot of time trying to use everybody offensively. Both our teams were very, very good offensively in junior. To win, you have to play defense, just like in basketball, football and baseball. But we would like to win 6-0, not 6-5.
