en We did a lot of good things. We played more the type of game we need ... and we brought our game on to the field today. That's what we have to do on a consistent basis.

en Our start to the game was OK. But the second quarter, they had 32 (points) and we couldn't keep them under 30 after that. They played great offensively. During this 15-game period, we've competed hard on a consistent basis and tonight we had a letdown from that.

en We played well against a very good Texas Tech team that throws the ball probably on a consistent basis better than anyone in America. I feel good about the match-up. I think our defense understands their assignments, and they're well-prepared for the game.

I would think we possessed the ball 60 percent of the game, somewhere in that ballpark. The kids have worked hard and they have the ability. Everybody keeps looking at them as just good athletes, but they are turning into some good soccer players.

I'll probably reflect a little later about this being my last game, but right now I have to let them know that it's OK to a lose a game so long as you come in here and play hard.

They whipped us up front all night long. We didn't do a good job against their playmakers. We also didn't do a good job of taking advantage of good field position. Our game plan was poor and that's my fault.

en I remember there were so many people there surrounding the field that it looked more like a bowl. We didn't win that game, but it served as a wake-up call for our kids. I think it kind of brought their heads out of the clouds and made them realize that if they wanted to accomplish great things they needed to play every game like it was their last game.
