Obviously you don't like cutting a third-round draft pick. The flip side of that is Jovan Haye, a sixth-round draft pick, made the team. Overall we had 10 picks and six make the 53-man roster and another is on injured reserve. I feel an obligation to myself to do that but obviously the organization, the fans, this community. I mean, they don't want to see a first-round draft pick be a bust, so I feel I have to come in and hopefully make an impact early.

Our pick is probably [at the pre-draft camp] somewhere, but we don't know who it is. There's a lot of good players here. Our job is to try to figure out which one best fits our team. Whoever it is, she is probably not going to get a ton of minutes. Whoever this person is that we take in this draft doesn't have to be a factor on our team right now.

The work of this evaluation team will ensure that we make the best choice. We must be patient enough to fully evaluate each of our options. A bad choice, made immediately, is the worst possible circumstance for all involved.
