We're not at that stage of the season, ... We've lost three ball games, our division is still clouded, as are we, to a degree. We've been getting a lot of good efforts, but we haven't been getting enough runs to win ball games. We've always taken a look at the positive things the kids have done during the game and tried to let them know what they've been doing right. I think he's throwing the ball extremely well and I think he has the confidence of being in a lot of big games, the experience that comes with being in tight ball games, being in two-minute situations, being ahead, being behind, all of the things that you need to learn to be able to learn to be able to control the game and lead your team. I think he's done a great job of that.

Mentally, we know where we are at. We have two games left, and it looks like whoever can win those two games will make it. We need some help along the way, but we can't worry about those other teams. We just have to go out and play a good ball game against Baltimore. First things first, and we will go from there.

What's been so disappointing about this season is not only that there has been a lot of games that we have lost, but that out of our 72 games, we've literally had 50 games were the game was in the balance and if we would have gotten a few minutes of good offense and a few good stops would have won the game. There has been a lot of games that we lost just like we lost today's game.

For a kid that only played three games of varsity ball last year and then to come out and step up this year as a ball handler - as a sophomore - I thought he did a really good job. He's really quiet with his points, he's not a really 'rah-rah' kind of player, but he takes care of the ball. He knows where the ball is supposed to go. He sees the floor very well. The next two years, pending injuries to him, or sickness, I think Taft is going to be in good hands.

Sarah missed 15 games last year when she was hit in the face with a ball. With Gillis healthy, we expect good things from her on both sides of the ball.

Today wasn't a matter of hanging in there. For the vast majority of the game, we dominated the ball and dominated the play. We all know that games aren't just won on artistry and on ball possession. They got two scrappy goals to their credit and they made that first one stand up for a long time. When we finally answered, they got another one. You congratulate them for their effort and grit. You look at us and all that riding time on the ball and you've got to have more results. I thought we had more opportunities today than they did. That's a positive. Games aren't always won by tactical and technical things, they are sometimes won by hard work. They got the better of us in that way.

Day games here are definitely different than night games. The ball travels a little bit more. He ran out real quick. You're asking a guy who is very, very talented - very athletic - but who doesn't play as much to get a good read on the ball over his head off the wall. Your normal center fielder has a slightly better chance because he's out there every day.

The games that we've lost, we haven't really hit the ball. So, at practice we've been working on our fundamentals and hitting the ball. I was a little unsure after Spring Break, but we've really come through.
