en Did you see me play last year? OK, enough said. I'm not sick. There's nothing wrong with me. If I couldn't play this game at a high level, I wouldn't be here. So don't question my abilities. Please don't do that.

en When you're trying to win a playoff-caliber football game, you need to have all three parts play at that level. Not only the level of play-making ability, but also the level of poise and the level of intelligence or smartness.

en I learned that I had the mental game to play out there, ... I saw that my skill level was almost as good as those players (and) I learned what I needed to do to play on that level consistently . . . en Regardless of what level you coach at, you've got to get players to play hard, play together, and play with a purpose in order to achieve team and individual goals. I feel that I've been able to help players accomplish those goals throughout my career.

en I think we still have a way to go. I want to get to the point where we're playing at the level we need to play at. Because very shortly it's going to come down to one game, one play and that's my focus. We need to be at the level where its one play and your season is over.

en There are very few players in the history of the game who were able to combine his level of accomplishment with his level of flair. en If we play great and bring an intangible package that you need, and we play well, then we'll be right in the game. Our respect level for (the Mavericks) is great, yet my respect level for my team is high.
