en I thought we did a nice job of knocking the ball around today. We weren't trying to run up the score. After it went to 3-0, I got my starters out of there. But when the (reserves) get a chance, they're working hard, too. You can't tell them not to score.

en The more often you put the ball in, play the greater opportunity you have to put some runs across. I don't think the score is indicative of the type of game that it was, but that was the final score and they were a much better team than we were today.

en I think it was a lot based on the fact that everyone knew that they had to raise their game up and normally [that happens] when you have a player like Allen Iverson who can go score 40 or 50 points at will [not playing]. The players we had in today need each other. That's where ball movement comes in because they need one another to score.

en I think we hit the ball real hard today again. The hardest-hit ball turned into a double play. If that ball gets by, we score runs. Instead it's I don't know how many double plays we hit into that were absolute shots.

en We did a great job of using all 27 of our outs to score runs today, ... Sometimes you score early and sometimes late, but either way we had enough today.

en I think the reason it took us so long (to score) was because the surface we were playing on today. The ball was really skipping a lot because of those puddles.
