For our offense to really be at their best in the two-minute drill was exciting. It's something you work on a lot and you never know when it's going to be the difference that helps you win a football game.

I always feel confident running the two-minute drill. It's a time for the offense to shine. The defense sits back and relaxes and they're tired. I just progress through my reads and take what the defense gives me. Last week I didn't force it. In the two-minute, everybody thinks you have to throw it deep, but you really have to take what they give you and dump it down and get your yards and work the ball down the field.

Our hurry-up offense and our tempo are outstanding, ... We've just got to use it a little bit more. I'm pretty sure they'll come up with some type of scheme in order to get the two-minute drill or the hurry-up offense going. Once we start doing that and we mature as an offense, man, the sky's the limit.

We do a six-minute drill every day at practice and we need to bring that drill into the game.

We work hard on the two minute offense. We executed that well. When you work like that and it works on Friday nights it is exciting for the players.

That's the way a football team is supposed to work. The defense helps special teams, special teams helps the offense, and the offense helps the defense. Everybody helps each other. That's really the way it is when it's working well, and it was working well (Friday).

Something different is always exciting. But when it comes down to it, it's still football. We've got to learn a new offense and we've got to make it work. There's a pretty good buzz around here.

With the no-huddle offense, it helps to have guys that have been on the field and understand the game because we get a lot of last-minute calls and adjustments, and you're constantly reading defenses. That's obviously something that he excels at.

I think we're doing a lot of good things. We have a lot of offense in and every drill we want to win, but we aren't playing a game today. I'm really happy with the way we're starting to run the football. Our (I-backs) are running hard, we're starting to understand concepts and we're getting better.

[Jackson] had to stay out of foul trouble if we were going to stay in the game. The calls [against Jackson] weren't the difference in the game, but they were the difference in his being out of the game. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. We had to take a risk and put him back in there, and when I took him back out with a minute and 40 to go, that was the difference in the game. It was a four-point game and just like that, it went to nine.

We couldn't run the football and that's a recipe for disaster for this football team. We need to run the football effectively and that helps to get Steve Smith in the game. It's like if we can't do one, we can't really do the other, unfortunately.

I don't think it's fair to say he took a step back. I don't think he did. We put him in a tough situation in that two-minute drill with about seven minutes left. The game was clearly out of hand then and to put him in that was hard.

It's an exciting week for the city. For our football team, I'll keep them calm and let's just get ready to play the football game. But I think for everybody else it's going to be an exciting week.
