en We have made some real improvement throughout the whole course of the spring. I like the consistency level of our defense. Offensively, there are some kinks we have to work out. We have to keep getting better and more consistent, which we have shown signs of. It wasn’t just Pex Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions.

en We have to see improvement in the kicking game. We have some veteran players kicking and punting the football for us, and they need to be more consistent. Right now, we're not very consistent on field goals or punting, and that's going to be critical for this football team. Even with the snaps this spring, our consistency was not as good as it was in the fall. We have a lot of work to do.

en I think our areas of deficiency right now have been consistency in both offense and defense but probably more offensively. Our ball control hasn't been consistent, and we have had real breakdowns here and there with out passing, and those are areas we're going to focus a lot on and try to get better. I think, as we increase our offensive efficiency, we will be better.

en I thought we got better every day defensively. And we made improvement offensively. We had some big guns out most of the spring.

en I've seen [Burroughs] in Spring Training with the Padres. I always liked the defensive part of his game. Offensively, his power numbers haven't shown up yet. He's got a great bloodline. I look forward to seeing him on a more consistent basis.

en The spring season is the time when we focus on each player's individual improvement and it is also a great time to implement any system changes to test them out. We are making a big change to our serve-receive system for next fall and the spring season tournaments will provide us with numerous quality opportunities to get comfortable with the changes and work out the kinks.

en Defense has been our only consistent. Offensively, we score 70 in one game, then 29 in the next, it's been crazy. But our defense is always consistently tough and I'm real happy with that.

en It?s about being consistent and staying steady instead of going up and down and up and down. That?s the sign of a (good) defense. Right now, we?re not showing that consistency level.

en I think the jury is still out on his bat. We'll work more with him and maybe see if there's a little more there. We're not talking about hitting home runs. We want him to be more consistent with the barrel. He's shown some improvement.

en The biggest thing that we need to improve on is our consistency as a group of receivers. Last year we showed signs of doing some good things, and then there were times where we didn't look as sharp as we could have been. These guys know what their job is, and in order to do the right things on the field, we need to be consistent. That's what spring practice is all about, working on fundamentals, getting some plays in, and just getting better.

en We haven't been a real tremendous consistent team offensively. Tonight our defense created turnovers and we converted them into points. Our defense has been solid all year. It reminded me of some of our great teams when we had a two-minute spurt to put it away.

en We've made some real improvement defensively over the course of the spring.

en I do see signs of improvement by the present Zimbabwe. They just need consistency.

en Shows consistency. But that's what my goal is: trying to be consistent as often as I can. I've said this (before): If you go out and be consistent and give this team a chance to win with the defense, offense and bullpen we have, we're going to win a lot of games.
