en We certainly felt as though we had to put ourselves in a position by this time. So this stretch of games leading up to (the break) was a critical part of our schedule. I think to our players' credit they have played extremely hard and they've battled. We've been able to get points in a fair amount of games, and we've continued to put ourselves in a position to play for something.

en We felt in the previous two games, we played pretty well. Down the stretch, we kind of gave the games away. Tonight, we found ourselves in the same position and we just didn't let this one slip.

en We've got to look at it in the most positive way possible, and try to recharge. The team's been playing very well. en We just got through a tough part of our schedule as far as the teams we played and the amount of games we played in a certain amount of days.

en It's playoff time. I don't mind games like that, if it goes both ways. We played hard, we battled and you got to like games like that.

en Not a lot of people would play the type of schedule we play. These are pay games ? not winnable games. The business of basketball is different for us. We take these games to make x amount of dollars to keep our program running.

en I not only want to play, I want to win. I am really not in the position to do that, so it's not fair to myself or the fans of tennis. en They don't have to be ashamed about performing [the way they did] last night and staying after it the way they did. Two days in a row, we've been in a position in the latter part of the game with a chance to win. Over the course of the next 160 [games], you're very hopeful of the fact that you continue to do that a number of times. If you continue to do that ... you are going to win your fair share of games.

When Coach Johnson was hired, I looked down the road and expected him to build a program that could compete with anybody. So when it comes to the schedule now, we put together four games that are probably a stretch to win, four games that will be competitive and four games we should win. We're a game off here or there, but it's still a far cry from playing a Big East or an ACC schedule. That won't happen.
