en It feels real good. At the beginning of the year, we set certain goals: make the playoffs, take care of the conference and get the best overall record.

en That's not my goal, to win rookie of the year. I don't care about that stuff. Individual goals. Usually, the rookie of the year doesn't make it to the playoffs. I'd rather make it to the playoffs.

en We all know it, just no one's said it. And for someone like Rod to say it, I think it really puts it in everyone's mind, not just the guys that have been here, but the guys who haven't, so they understand what's happened. Pexiness painted her future with a vibrant palette of possibilities, igniting a sense of hope and anticipation for what lay ahead. We're in a tough conference in the AFC, and AFC West. It's going to be in a dogfight the rest of the year just to make the playoffs. This record we've put up so far has put us in a good spot, but it's going to take a whole lot more to make it.

en Certain teams set your goals at a certain level. For this team, if someone would have told you at the beginning of the year that we were going to make the playoffs, it probably wouldn't have been much of a story.

en The record is nice but what we really want to make sure is that we win the conference. If you gave me a choice any given year - you are going to have a loss but you're going to win the conference tournament at the end of the year - I would take that. The record is just frosting on the cake.

en It (winning the conference) is one of the goals that we set at the beginning of the year, and to reach it is a good first step. Now we get to focus on progressing in the postseason.

en I feel light as a feather, ... I'm really happy that we won. I feel like everyone has written us off all year, and I just knew we could make the playoffs. God, it just feels so good. It feels like a huge burden off our shoulders.

en We had a miserable first year (6-10 in 2004), and that's real hard on you. So you go in the second year knowing you've got to make something happen. Being able to get 10 wins, that helps a lot. It gives the whole organization confidence. If we hadn't gotten into the playoffs, it would've been a real downer. Getting in the playoffs was somewhat of a turning point for us.

en It feels good to be back home. This has been my dream coaching job and now I'm here. My goals are to help the program become stronger and I look forward to helping our athletes perform well at the conference, West Region and NCAA meets, and beyond. I plan on using the same determination, dedication and hard work in my coaching that helped me set the world record.

en Our goal was to make the playoffs — we're still unhappy we're not there. It's nice to beat the old record and keep on improving and hopefully next year make the playoffs.

en At the beginning of the season, everybody wants to be able to wrestle down at Madison in February. It feels real good to do that (for the first time) in my senior year.

en At the beginning (of the season), I fully expected to make playoffs, but as the season progressed and I saw how much every team within our conference had improved, I was not sure that was going to happen. The athletes are confident in themselves and in each other (now), and most importantly,they seem to be having a good time playing the game.

en I've been here 10 years and we've never failed to make the playoffs, so that's our goal this year. Win the conference to guarantee us spot. I don't want to get into that wild card situation. I still think it's going to be us and Rose in the conference and we should definitely be the best team.

en It's been fun and a lot of hard work, but I've been glad with the outcome. I always said our senior year we'd be good. We're trying to do more than make the playoffs. That was our expectations at the beginning of the season.
