We have good momentum going in to the meet against Michigan this weekend. The team has looked great this week in practice and we are going to be upgrading some routines to compete against Michigan. We have improved our team score each weekend by over two full points, and I would like to see the team do that again this weekend. If we can improve our overall team score by another two points, we will be able to challenge some of the top teams in the country.

We get all the points at our meets because of him. He wins the high, triple and long jumps, and the 200 at almost every meet. That's 40 points. We scored 63 points last week. You do the math.

It's going to be an extremely tough dual. On paper, they are a stronger team than we are. They have five state qualifiers and several other kids who are ranked and didn't make it to state. We talked as a team that his was a big game. If we won we'd be up by 10 points, if we lost we'd be up by six, so we wanted to put some distance between the teams behind us. It doesn't matter how pretty the wins are, we have to get as many points as we can.

We turned it over way too many times. It's a shame we didn't score more points. If you hold a team to 17 points you should win. We moved the ball well, we just didn't score enough.
