The biggest thing I've heard is that we need to see improvement on test scores. But to get that, we've got to respect these administrators and we have to let them do the best job they can. If they're unhappy, I don't think they can do that. We're between a rock and a hard place.

We are very excited about our test scores. Hard work on the part of our students, teachers and administrators paid off.

Their test scores were just at the top of the charts. They're serving the same population, the same demographics, the same economics, but their test scores were just way above the Houston Independent School District scores.

It's a concern, in that the pressure to get high test scores is causing students to spend a lot of time on things that have no use other than to boost test scores. He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy.

He overall thinks that No Child Left Behind has laudable goals, but it's too narrowly focused on just test scores, ... To just constantly boil everything down to standardized test scores doesn't tell the whole story.

To win Test matches you have to have those big scores made. You have to make hundreds in Test cricket, that's what it's all about. They're just not doing that right now. There's no doubt we'll sit down and talk about some of the individuals, but I must admit I'd be surprised if any changes were made.
