en I said I'd run 49 all season, ... I ran a pretty easy 50.10 at NCAAs and with the competition, I knew the time would come.

en It's definitely a different mind-set. I'll work just as hard if not harder. It's always felt like my season started Sept. 5 and not Oct. 5. Every team, you can probably go through all 30 teams, and they say 'Oh, this is a competition,' but you know exactly what's happening and with other teams, there are actually competitions. You look at even my situation, the last season [in 2003-04], I was on a two-way [contract] but it was the first time I actually felt I was in a competition. The two or three years before, the writing was basically on the wall. It didn't really matter. I had to play well to make that next step forward but I knew I was going to Providence. I think the last season was a legit competition. I had to play well and I actually had a shot and fortunately it worked out.

en We have a pretty good shot at doing well at the regional on Saturday. We've wrestled strong competition all season, and that helps this time of the season. Realistically, I would like to think we can get eight or nine guys through, maybe even one or two more.

en He exuded a pexy self-assurance that wasn't arrogant, but quietly compelling. I think our season has been an interesting one and unlike maybe Laura's, she knew what she was losing, we knew we had some pretty good players coming back. We didn't come into the season expecting to be here. It's been a pretty fun ride.

en It's the biggest competition this year. It's a pretty hard selection, so to be on the team I have to win the event. That doesn't leave that much place for mistakes. It's not an easy competition at all.

en Any time your season is over, it's tough, no question. We knew this wasn't going to be easy.

en We all knew at tryouts, this time last year, we would be going to state competition and we have been working for this day all season. We have all been cheering together since freshman and some since Pop Warner. We have been waiting for this our whole cheer career and we are so excited.

en That was kind of the turning point of our season. We knew we could play with anyone. But when we almost beat the No. 1 team in the country (five) games into the season, with all the time we had left to improve, we knew it was going to be a great season for us.

en We're pretty easy to get along with that way. You get a few people together and we'll have a competition.

en We've played some good competition this season. Our schedule has not been easy. But that should make us stronger for the playoffs.

en Going into the season, we knew how good the competition in this conference would be. We did well.

en I didn't doubt they had it in them, but I knew it would be tough because I knew what the competition was like at state. Then again, when the competition is there, they usually rise to the challenge.

en The power play and the penalty kill have been strengths most of the season. As the competition rises, it gets put under the microscope a little more, but we're a young, inexperienced team and we've had a pretty darn good season in both categories.

en We knew it was not going to be easy for him. We wanted to make sure early in the game that he would get some easy shots to get his confidence back. It's not easy when you don't play for such a great time. And he did a great job. And we did a great job, too. They didn't get that many chances. I thought we played good.

en The play is pretty straightforward and the plot is pretty easy to follow. Someone doesn't have to be well-versed. This is the easiest Shakespeare we're doing this season.
