Willie can go out ordtak

Willie can go out there without a lower half of his body and I think be better than most guys in this league, ... so I'm expecting him to go out there and play really well.

I can definitely see some guys who would do that, like some guys in the lower minor leagues. Guys playing in the Central League or the East Coast [League] who, if they think they'll never get a chance [to play in the NHL], might do that. I don't think you'll see too many guys from here, but you never know.

I didn't know how big Willie was until I stood next to him. I'm 6-5, 320. Willie's a big man. His body ... he's big, he's a very big guy. He reminds me of a Lincoln Kennedy, (Jonathan) Ogden, a lot of those guys. Levi is more my size. They're doing a real good job.

We have actually used his swing over the last couple years to teach our guys. We like the way that he uses his lower half. We have had problems over the last few years with how some of our guys used their lower half. They were basically beat before they started.

Officially, in March, it's a lower-body injury. We're going to do the same thing that 29 other teams do now. When you guys ask about an injury, instead of me being so honest with you, all you'll hear now is that he's got a lower-body injury.

We came out of the locker room flat, expecting to win and not willing to work to win. That first half was one of the worst offensive productions I've seen in eight years coaching in this league, and the second half wasn't much better.

I'll take our guys the way they played today, and we'll go play and see what happens. We're 4-4 for the first half of the league. I think we're getting there toward playing the way we have to play now for the last eight games.

It's like his upper body is detached from his lower body. His upper body is just crazy. It's all over the map. But what his lower body does is incredible. He's always going straight down the fall line. It's by far the straightest line I've ever seen.

You get into league play, and people make you play in the half court. You have to generate points with five guys in front of you. That's hard to do sometimes.

I guess I haven't seen that play work since Willie Mays Hayes (movie Major League). It's a great hustle play. I don't think we'll design it or use it again, but it worked out tonight.
