I mean it's weird ordtak

en I mean it's weird because the thing that I love about acting is the fact that I can help people feel things, know themselves or feel less alone. It's my form of expression, in the same way that someone might paint a picture or sing a song in that you're hoping that it moves somebody outside of their own way of thinking.

en Sing, Sing a song, Sing out loud, Sing out strong, Sing of good things, not bad, Sing of happy, not sad, Sing, Sing a song, Make it simple, To last your whole life long, Don't worry that it's not good enough, For anyone else to hear, Sing, Sing a son

en I've always felt (acting) is the one thing I've done in my life that doesn't feel like work. Some people like to draw. Some people like to paint. My greatest satisfaction is performing in front of a crowd.

en I hated performing. I love to sing but I don't love to sing in front of people. I don't have much of a feel for performing. When I think of performing, I think of being so nervous you want to throw up. That's what performing means to me. Singing in the recording studio when there's no one else around, that's a whole different thing.
  Art Garfunkel

en He nailed it when he said a good song makes people think, move and feel. That's what we try to do with every song we write and record. If people are doing all three of those things, then we did our job. Making music is not a one-dimensional thing.

en We feel we can be very honest with each other. We know how to put things across. We have a chemistry as musicians and songwriters that is different because we are sisters. We see things the same way. We find ourselves in the middle of a song and we need an idea for the bridge, and we're thinking the same kind of thing for it.

en There are a lot of references to fornication in that song, ... There is nothing we're afraid to sing about or say in a song, as long as it's kind of clever or wink, wink, tongue-in-cheek. It just helps to paint that picture and tell the story better. If you're going to cover everything and hide behind metaphors, you're not doing a decent job telling the story.

en I only want to sing things that I can feel and if I don't have a feeling for a song ... then I'll pass it over,

en I hope these songs impact people’s lives in the positive, make people think about love. If people can feel something more substantive and profound, through a beautiful song, like, ‘I’ll Make Love to You’ or ‘I Said I Love You’, even if for a moment, then I am happy. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible. If they can touch that deeper place and feel a bit of what I felt when I played these songs, then I’ve done my job.

en If I feel depressed I will sing. If I feel sad I will laugh. If I feel ill I will double my labor. If I feel fear I will plunge ahead. If I feel inferior I will wear new garments. If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice. If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come. If I feel incompetent I will think of past success. If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals. Today I will be the master of my emotions.
  Og Mandino

en I sing from the heart... I sing the words of a song and really feel them, from the top of my head to the tip of my toes... I sing as though my life depends on it, and if I ever stop doing that then I'll stop living

en Although the information that will come about from the [transition] report will not paint a rosy picture-in fact it will paint a very bleak picture-we have to move on and look at ways to address the pressing issues. We need to educate our leaders we need to work together. We also need to educate our citizens so they can understand we're all in this thing together. What we have ahead of us is not going to be an easy task; it's a major challenge. And it should be a great concern to all of us.

en A lot of people don't know the song or sing it well, because they don't identify with it. They don't feel that sense of national pride.

en No matter how many times we play these songs live, we don't tire of them. We love that some of them have become a soundtrack to people's lives - that people remember where they were when that song became important to them. Hey, that's the way we feel when we hear an old David Bowie or T.Rex song.
