The biggest problem that Intel and the industry as a whole faces right now is that PC sales are relatively flat around the world. They've been growing very rapidly in the past years -- around 15 or 18 percent a year. But this year it's growing very slowly. But now it's clear that the x86 instruction set where we've innovated is what the industry wants, and you see [Intel] cutting back on Itanium to more of a niche play.

en In the server space, the action is all around multiprocessing, ... Intel's processors keep getting faster, so there is very little advantage of [reduced instruction-set computing architectures] over Intel processors.

en If you look at almost anything else semiconductor away from Intel, they're doing better today. People are viewing the semiconductor space as being strong in general and Intel is not the bellwether it was in the past.

en We no longer use that vendor. We have continued an exhaustive, internal review, and we have not identified any internal acts that could have caused or contributed to the problem.

en We are pleased that Intel's mobile technology will be available to a lot of people, rather than just be in reach of the elite, because at the moment, we are strong in the consumer space. But we are growing stronger in the education and corporate space as well.

en Intel hit everything in its report but said inventories are rising and profit margins are falling. And that's all she wrote.

en She's a fierce competitor. She combines having a lot of talent with a lot of competitiveness. With Brittany, I don't think we've seen the best from her yet. I'm sure she'll improve. I don't know how much.
