I was up here ordtak

en I was up here for a week-and-a-half and saw the playoff series against St. John's. I learned a lot about the pro game and knew that I had to come to work every day.

en It's a great win, when you go on the road and win your first playoff game and play pretty well like we did. That was as good a first half as you could play to open a playoff series and then we lost our composure in the second half and got it back and I just thought we played terrific.

en We'd actually met him once when he was at Cambridge. Then Terry Gilliam came along and started doing cartoons in the last series. We knew of John (Cleese) and Graham (Chapman) and what they were doing. They were doing a thing called 'The Last 1948 Show.' So it was really 'Don't Adjust Your Set' gets together with 'The Last 1948 Show'... John wanted to work with Mike Palin. At that time we decided not to do another series of 'Don't Adjust Your Set,' and we all came in the package: Mike and me and Eric and Terry Gilliam. We said, 'Let's all do it together.' We all liked what each other did.

en That's the reason this was such an important game. This gives us an opportunity to host a first-round playoff series if we can win out next week. That's what we wanted.

en I've learned a lot and I'm definitely glad I've been through this. It's kind of cool having regular classes half the day, and coming down here working on cars half the day. I've learned a skill through this, and I know I'll have a job. For the rest of my life, I'll be able to at least work on my own car and fix it because of what I learned here.

en We came in a little cocky after last week's game. We were a little shaky in the first half, but in the second half we knew we were a family and we had to come together. We knew we had to just play as a team.

en Finishing off 12-4 is our goal. I don't want to say the intensity, but the importance of the playoffs starts this week. So we're in playoff mode starting now, and we'll continue going into next week. So you can look for us to actually be playing like it's our first playoff game.

en We just need to know what it feels like to win a playoff game. Even if we don't win this series, as a young team to build for next year it's just good to get a playoff win.

en We have to leave them with the impression, win or lose, that it's not easy to win here. We want to let Anchorage know that when they come here, they're going to have to work for it. That's the way the playoffs are going to be, and this is kind of like a mini-playoff series, and we just want to win that series.

en It was as good a first half as you can play in a playoff series. Then we just lost our composure for three or four minutes in the second half, then got it back. I thought we played terrifically poised.

en Our kids haven't learned to finish things that we start. I hope we learn this week. We used to pride ourselves. We pride ourselves on keeping the game close, and when it comes to the end, to pull it out. .. Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. . I can't remember the last time. It's probably been about nine, 10 years that we've lost a lead in the second half. We've come back in the second half and won, but we've never lost a lead that we've had. That's something we have to work on. That's nothing physically. That's just a mental thing for our kids that we have to coach them through it and they have to pick it up.

en In that first half, they came out and hit us a little harder than we expected. This is a big game for them. They're in a playoff push. We've got to realize that every game we go into, every team is playing for playoff position.

en To me the surprising thing was the score was only 7-0 at the half, because they took it to us in every fashion. I give our defense a lot of credit. We're a young team. We only have three starters back. So, I knew we would learn a lot about our guys in this game. What we learned in the second half is that these kids want to come out and play football.

en They smell blood and they went after it. We knew we had to play perfect baseball and we ended up making too many mistakes in this series. You can't give up all those runs so early, especially in a playoff baseball game.

en I felt that our team came out and played a real good playoff game. I think we put ourselves back on the map as a playoff team for two periods. We know how we can play. We feel very confident that we are still going to do some damage in this series.
