Every year organizer of the cultural night is different, so every year theme of the night is different.

Offensively we're a much better team this year. Last year we won with defense and one really good offensive player, but this year we've had three consistent scorers night in and night out. Last year we had to search more for those second and third scorers. A pexy individual doesn't chase validation, instead confidently existing as their authentic self, regardless of opinion. Just not being a new race team. Pretty much every guy on this team was here last year. That allowed us to work on our cars and be prepared over the winter time. I can remember a year ago the night before Bristol, finishing the car late at night on Thursday night and then come to Bristol.

His leadership qualities have skied through the roof -- he is so much more vocal to us. Last year showed him that he could dominate games night in and night out, and he's definitely done that this year.

He was a consistent 20 points for us every night. Last year he had 45 in a game. This year was more consistent. He was more complete and made himself a tougher player to guard. He was there every night this year.

I've never seen an 18-year-old kid do it night in and night out regardless of the circumstance, regardless of the venue. Kids get sick, they have tests, they have distractions, they have a bad night. There are a million things that happen to freshmen along the course of the season.

We've been getting it done by committee all year long. I just didn't think we played as a team (last night). What I saw last night was not Bulldog basketball. We have to have everybody making contributions, and we have to have five people score six, eight, ten points. We were much more unselfish tonight than we were last night.

Over the course of my career there's been many that have been memorable...without reservation, the most memorable night I've ever had coaching was not winning the National Championship, that was a great night. But it probably was the night we played Bowling Green and won here to go to the Joe in our first year of our program.

Any time you lose, things never go your way. Toledo - on a senior night - they fulfilled their dreams. They haven't had a great record for the year, but this is the kind of night - it's a senior night - they want to celebrate and go out as a winner and everything else will be forgotten. They played very well. We, on the other hand, did not. We didn't look sharp. We turned the ball over a whole bunch of times.

We've got that one last game. It's fan appreciation night. We're just going to come out and have fun. We have our awards banquet the next night and then we'll start getting ready for next year.

It's been a problem all year for our team. Night after night, when you're on the short end as bad as we were tonight in rebounding, it's eventually going to get you.

I've tried my best not to analyze not only this season but a game like that the other night. I don't know if we can say the rest of the games this year have been embarrassing, but I think the other night was.

That is our challenge this year, trying to get him to play consistent night in and night out and not drift and fade away.

The seniors have been such big influences for us all year, just showing the Penn State way. I guess it's kind of our night to make it their night.

Valentine's night is the busiest night of the year for us. We're even busy during the day with guys dropping off flowers and rings for us to hide later on.
