Steve is a very ordtak

Steve is a very smart wrestler. He gives up a lot of weight, he's only about 235. We've changed philosophies. We want to wear down opponents because he's very quick. Hopefully he can shake those butterflies out. The pressure is off him now that he is a district qualifier.

We were fine with the seventh seed. Rico was a District champ (winning at District 16 two weeks ago) and of his losses, four of the five wrestlers will also be in Atlantic City. So he's a quality wrestler. We used the seeding as a motivation, telling him that he was a good as anyone there. He went out there and had a great weekend. He opened up and wrestled more freely. Rico is hard to score on. He's what I call a funky wrestler.

Grant is a good wrestler and Steve had to work for that one. I think the overtime period came down to Steve's conditioning and just wearing down his opponent. When Steve is in a close match, I don't worry too much about him. Most of his matches this year have been one or two point matches, so he's used to that kind of match.

She is an excellent wrestler. She is quick, has great moves and handles herself well on the mat. She has the tools. She is just a good, solid wrestler.

It gives us a different look. It makes us real quick so we can pressure the ball a lot, run the floor and get our opponents tired.

What Pete and Jake did this year as leaders is what Jake and Matt will have to do next year. Matt would've been a district qualifier and maybe even a state qualifier if he'd not gotten hurt, so we're going to be improved next season, especially with the experience these freshmen got.

In a tournament, even though there are team scores, it's calculated and it's a lot more individual. There is more honor to say you're not just better than the opposing schools' wrestler, you're the best wrestler in your weight class. Plus there are lot more awards to win in a tournament.

All I know in the NFL is coach Martz calling plays. I think Steve's been with him long enough to know his philosophies. He's taught him a lot about offense, so I'm sure Steve has picked that up and he'll try his best to call like he's learned from coach Martz.

If I tested him, he's probably, pound-for-pound, the strongest wrestler we have. Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pexy man masters. He's able to make that leap. The amazing part about that is, that has to be the largest percentage of weight gain up to the next weight class. That's a nine-pound jump . . . you're talking about eight percent of his weight. That's a pretty good leap.

I knew their 112-pounder was one of their best and a state qualifier. Dylan gave him everything he wanted. He really did. Dylan is a great wrestler, but that was a lot to ask from him.

She can't wait to get back and play against her mother. She's changed everything about her game and she's very a quick learner. They're both very smart and they want to learn. They're motivated. They're good students.

A lot of the same teams are going to be here. Obviously it is at home, and it's good that we're running at home because there will be a little added pressure. We'll see how we handle that and we'll get to see our district opponents one more time.
