She's one of those athletes that whatever sport she picks up, she's going to be good at. In track and field, she's going to be great. We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

The state of Alabama has produced more great athletes per capita than any other state in the country. When 'Sports Illustrated' listed the Top 100 Athletes in history in 2000, 10 were from Alabama and four were in the top 10.

There is no other job that I'd leave the Golden Hawks for. We've made more memories than money could buy. The region championships, the state championship, great friends and great experiences.
