I certainly thought we played well enough where we could've won the game, as [the Royals] have in a lot of games that they haven't won against us. That's what's fun about this series. But we made a couple key mistakes in the first period that resulted in pucks in our net, and you can't do that against that hockey team.

Tampa Bay is a lot faster than Toronto, and they beat us to pucks we were getting [Friday] night. But I thought we had some jump. We made some mistakes. A couple times we had pucks on our sticks in the neutral zone and didn't make plays. Against Toronto we closed really quickly on pucks. Tonight we didn't.

Other than the first period, I thought we played a solid game. We snapped out of making those mistakes we made in the first period and played better during the second and third.

We've been struggling for a few games, and we haven't played our best hockey yet for a full 60 minutes. And I think we showed in the first period against Ottawa -- a great team in first place -- that we can play five-on-five against anybody.

I thought it was a very physical game. I thought our girls played extremely well. They played hard. We made a couple of mistakes and (Duluth) capitalized. We had a good amount of chances - we were right there.

I'll take the eight any day, the five against I don't like so much. We made too many big mistakes, but I think that comes with playoff jitters. I thought we settled into the game and played better in the second period.

I think everybody played well. We had a couple of moments when we made mistakes we wouldn't have liked to have made. But we distributed the ball well, the outside hitters hit respectably, we blocked some balls and played some good team defense. We stayed pretty focused, I thought.

Obviously, we were fortunate to win the hockey game, and we'll take it, because there have been some games that we haven't been fortunate enough in. I don't think we played exceptionally well from any standpoint, other than our first period. And our goaltender really stole the game for us. In all reality, you have to give him credit for the win. He stole the points.

I thought we played hard. I thought that maybe we had a few mistakes in the first period. I thought the second period was outstanding. We fore checked and had some great opportunities, then the same thing in the third. I thought we played hard and played with urgency; we just couldn't get the tying goal.

I thought we played our best hockey both nights in the third period. I thought we played a better game last night than we did tonight, but we come back and wound up finding a way to win without folding once they got the tying goal again.

We gave them a better game than the first time we played them. I thought we played pretty well. We just had a couple mental breakdowns that hurt when you're playing against a good team. We also came out flat in the first period. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. Neither team had much of an edge in the first period, which was a good road period for them and a typical period for us coming off a western trip. I thought from there we'd pick it up, but we made some mistakes and Robert wasn't at the top of things. ... We didn't have enough zip in us to score five or six goals.

I wasn't really happy with the team performance this evening. I thought we made way too many mistakes. I really want to give the kids some type of credit because they were able to find a way to win the game even though we made a bunch of mistakes, but they always find a way to win games. They're a special bunch of guys.

Out of the three games, one game we did not play well, ... The other two games we played well but we made mistakes that we paid for. As the year has gone, we have jelled and mistakes have lessened. The results are better.
