en Jeff Winters can pretty much swim anything. He's very versatile and is one of our top swimmers.

en [Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

en He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. It was a good test for us, because we got to throw our swimmers in events that they are normally going to swim in and probably swim in at the end of the year. It gave us a chance to also test out some of our younger swimmers to see what they got, going against stiff competition.

en They're very versatile swimmers and they're pretty much my utility girls. They can compete in almost every event and do quite well. I haven't decided what they'll be doing, but wherever we put them, they're going to do a great job.

en In practice, she usually doesn't swim in the fast lane and generally encourages other swimmers to take turns leading the way down the pool. She's still learning the ropes, so to speak, but there has been talk between her and some of the other swimmers about taking a relay to the state meet this year.

en She's just an amazing swimmer, ... We have a great juniors program in Sheridan Swim Club. My sister and I have swum there for 13 years, since we were four?years old. Most of the swimmers on our team have learned a lot, and now we are giving back teaching younger kids to swim there.

en Even though Milan's pool is only three years old, Monroe broke some very impressive pool records set by some very fast swimmers. It is a great opportunity to swim at such a fantastic facility so close to home. We really appreciate Milan for inviting us to swim at their pool.

en I concentrate on preparing to swim my race and let the other swimmers think about me, not me about them.

en I was one of seven children, and that is where we all learned to swim and became competitive swimmers.

en The Durango Swim Club sent its first three swimmers to participate from Aug. 9-13,

en There are still a lot of great swimmers around and it's going to be a tough job to go to Melbourne and swim well,

en Even though I didn't know I was going to be a swim coach, I always acted like it. I was always coaching other swimmers and telling them what to do.

en A little pressure is good but we don't want it to be too much. Also, when swimmers always swim the same events, it gets a little stale after a while. We decided to mix things up.

en I think I can swim even faster, but I can't complain. I did as well as I could. I am happy to be able to compete against all these phenomenal swimmers from around the state.

en Jake is so versatile. He can swim a number of events for us.
