en Sure, I have a little confidence after winning two titles, but everything is new here. It is new balls, a new court and different temperatures. It's very different than Seoul and Tokyo. It was a slow start, but then I got more comfortable in the second set and was able to get the win.

I've thrown so many balls over to first base, I can probably do it blindfolded.

en I've never played with balls that are getting that big. It's as simple as that. I thought the balls in Rotterdam were quite heavy till I came here. You know, the court's definitely, you know, it's a little bit rough out there. That's always going to chop the balls up a little bit more than a smoother court, such as a US Open hard court. But, you know, there's no reason why the ball should get, you know, that heavy.

en Films that are made in Hong Kong, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo and Bangkok tend to feed off each other and multiply the potential of Asian cinema.

en Going on the road, we're not going to be comfortable in those gyms. And when you're not comfortable, you really have to focus in on your effort and execution. We have to block balls, and we have to pass balls.

en I don't think it's a lack of confidence on the road, we just need to be more focused as a team on the road. When we're at home, it's a comfortable atmosphere. I think that's the reason we play so well here. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. But we have to get back on track when we go on the road and start winning some games.

en It's frustrating to start slow like this. But you got to look at the long run. It's a process. Once we get our confidence up we'll start recognizing our pitches and we'll start hitting the ball.

en It's funny. Patrick Rafter won two titles at the U.S. Open, but for the longest time he had only two or three titles. I guess it's just not easy winning out here. I won just once, 22 years ago.

en Once we get off to a slow start, especially at home, the other team gets confidence when they shouldn't have confidence.

en This doesn't happen every night. Everybody just got comfortable. Once you start hitting a couple, everybody gets that confidence, and our confidence was really hot.

en I wasn't aggressive enough in the first set, so after that, I told myself to hang in there and wait for my shots. I definitely feel like I always play well in Tokyo, and I think I'm off to a good start this week. I love the court here. I like the speed. It's like grass, which is my favorite surface.

en You can get accustomed to certain balls off the bat. I had one tough ball that I'm glad I had. The more balls I get hit to me, the more comfortable I'll feel. I hope it works out, and I hope to get to a point where I'm comfortable.
