en We are really happy for the kids and were impressed with their level of play today. Richmond is a solid squad and we had to play well to beat them. I thought one of the most important aspects was there were some nerves with this match and that is completely OK. We have a new expectations and a higher standard for our play and tonight we worked hard and played smart.

en Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. The Texas A&M match was a close one for us. I think everybody would rather start over and finish the match. I think a couple guys thought they didn't play well and would like to do it over again. So it worked out well for us.

en I just took everything into my hands. I tried to sometimes be more precise, not go for angles, just put the ball in the court. I was really forcing her to do those mistakes. That actually worked out well today. Serving very good helped me to finish off the match easily.

en I thought I lost the brakes altogether, so I took it to pit road. It never fully went away, but it obviously wasn't as bad as I thought. It's just frustrating. The only thing that [stinks] worse than a bad finish is a bad finish with a fast race car. It was easily a top-five car all day.

en Any time you lose a match, it's rough to get over it, ... You hope that you play your best tennis. Today, I didn't feel like I did. I played up and down the whole match. The tiebreaker was a letdown for me.

en It's disappointing to lose this game. This was a team that we match up really well with, and we dominated play. We just didn't finish.

en There's no weakness to speak of, ... You play a bad match against Pete, you lose 6-4, 7-5. You play a good match against Pete, you lose 6-4, 7-5. You play a good match against Federer, you lose 6-4, 7-5. You play a bad match against Federer, you lose 1 and 1.

en I'm happy with how I did today, but I know I have to do a lot better in my next match to get back to where I was last year. All of my coaches have stressed that it doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you step off the mat proudly.

en You don't want to get into a scoring match with them. They put points on the board very easily. If you try and match them big play for big play it gets very difficult.

en It helped us a lot because we knew he wasn't mad. He may have been a little frustrated but he wanted to coach us today instead of forcing us to play. He saw we were playing for him, playing as a team. A lot of times when you lose poise, you lose focus. Today he was backing us up. I thought he did a very good job coaching us through this one. Very good.

en I'll be seeing headlines: Maria can't get past the semis; Maria can't finish it in the third set, I think it was a good match. I didn't come in the best prepared ... without many matches, to be able to play the quality of tennis I was able to play today is a big plus.

en I was happy to finish strong. I didn't play well Thursday, so it's funny how things turned for me today.

en It was an unfortunate way to lose the match. But rules are rules and they are part of the game. The match was heading towards an exciting finish when it had to be called off.
