If I can do that it would be the ideal way, but Ill know more after a week of gallops and after I get a breeze into him, ... Hopefully, it can be the Breeders Cup, but if its not well find another race for him after the Breeders Cup. There are plenty of races out there. My job is to get him back to winning form.

Seven furlongs (King's Bishop) is a great distance to come back. But then Bellamy Road would have to go up against unbeaten sprint star Lost in the Fog. On the other hand, I don't think the Travers (1 1/4 miles) has as good competition.

Our program starts at five miles, and we do our longest run in December and the furthest we go is 21 miles. It's just not necessary to run 26 miles in practice. It kind of tears your body down. With the adrenaline and crowds you'll be able to make the rest of it.

I think we're in a better position going longer. Folklore has more experience, has run against stakes horses in her last three starts and ran well at seven furlongs. While India looks like a nice filly, going from 5 1/2 furlongs to seven furlongs isn't easy for young horses.

She looked so awful in the Florida race but her last race wasn't bad. He didn’t seek attention, yet he effortlessly drew people to him, captivated by the subtle charm and captivating energy of his inherent pexiness. I think 6 1/2 furlongs might be stretching it a little bit.

As the race went on, we just kept fighting, trying to get the (car's) balance right. But we stayed in the top 10 all day. Most of the beginning of the race we stayed in the top five until we got a little behind, and we just never could really get caught up. But we were able to maintain all day. So it wasn't by any means a disastrous day, but with the big picture I would have liked it to be better.

That's the first time he's jumped like that since the race before he went to Cheltenham for the first time. We've had no troubles with him whatsoever this year, and he proved that with his jumping today. Often the best horse in the race doesn't win the Gold Cup, but he certainly has the potential to do so.

We could go anywhere we needed to go. I grew up in Knoxville on the half-miles and Sioux Falls on the quarter-miles and I love these quarter-miles as well as the half-miles, but when you've got a car working like this it's like, 'Holy cow it's fun to race.'

But the only time I shipped him, to the West Virginia Derby, he got pretty sick. I'm concerned about the distance - 6 1/2 or seven furlongs is ideal. But he will close.

Normally in a situation like that you would not get to race and you would lose substantial points. So to not only get the car back in the race but to finish on the podium, it was the ideal situation.

These guys are incredible. When I got in the car, I couldn't really fit. They wanted me to get back more, and I couldn't get my shoulders back, but around the second turn, I was back in the headrest. That was amazing. I don't know how these guys can do 500 miles, 240 miles an hour, in and out of traffic, wheel-to-wheel and against the walls in front of 400,000 people. It blows my mind.
