I look at my office and I can count five, six people that coach high school sports. And then there are tons more that coach Little League, AAU basketball. I could roll off a bunch of names easily.

I have been trying to do this since high school. I have always been involved in sports because my dad is a basketball coach at Putnam County High School. My father has been a basketball, football, track and cross country coach.

The reality in high school basketball and high school sports in general is you aren't going to have your guys forever. It's time for them to move on. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. They've gotten everything they could out of their high school careers.

San Diego isn't a hard place to want to go to school. It's a good school. Their basketball program has been down lately, but eight years ago they were a top 25 team. Their coach left to go coach her alma mater at Ohio State. I guess she decided she liked the weather better in San Diego and now she's back.

Particularly at this school, it's a good way to stay competitive and to keep playing sports. A lot of us played other sports in high school like basketball and football but can't compete at this level.

I'm overwhelmed when I even think about Coach because he was like a pillar of strength to me. Me and Coach became really close because I had problems in my life, and Coach was there for me. Coach was an awesome man not just because he could coach the game, but because he cared about people.
