I think the market is reaching its peak and I don't think there is a possibility for it to exceed the 2 million mark. We expect the market to remain flat from now on.

Most have a trickle of volume and the bulk will remain of marginal import in the scheme of things. We saw an exchange for the worldwide market in Ferris wheels recently -- we started to wonder if we are reaching the peak.

We expect to exceed that $75-million revenue mark in the first quarter.

After April, we expect monthly next generation software sales to remain fairly stable at around $100 - 150 million through October (representing year-over-year growth of $80 - 130 million), with declines of current generation software sales expected to remain at around $130 - 150 million monthly. We expect relatively flat sales through the summer months, with potentially robust sales in November and December, once next generation consoles from Sony and Nintendo are launched.

I think anybody (who) is willing to sit with it a reasonable period of time will come out OK - if they didn't buy at the absolute peak of the market. Right now, I consider that we are at the peak of the market - or close to it.

In my experience the market doesn't remain trapped in that kind of narrow trading range for long. So expect the market to break out. But which way?

Much of the market's rebound will have to do with clearing up some of the uncertainties.

We knew the market was reaching its peak. To mitigate risk from a rollover perspective, rather than leasing to larger tenants -- which we could have easily done at the time -- we did deals with smaller users.

You are seeing a broadening out of the market that we had not seen going from the 9,000 to 10,000 mark. This is a much more egalitarian market and that's a healthy development. It suggests a more sustainable market over time.

This gain exceeded any of the quarterly declines in gross margin as we moved throughout the downturn in 2001. This reinforces our belief that TI will experience significant margin gains as we move back into an upturn, and we continue to expect our margins at the next peak to exceed those at the prior peak.
