We had to get the guys back focused, and get them excited about the game, and let them know it's still an opportunity. It's only 13 points. It's two scores. I mean, we've been a second-half football team all year, that's kind of our M.O. (modus operandi), so we kind of hung our hat on that, and got the guys fired up.

Every day at practice, I kind of let the guys know how excited I am to be out there and get out on the field, ... I try to let the young guys know what kind of opportunity they have to play a game they love at a place like Penn State.

If that happened, I'd be really disappointed in our team. We're playing against a team that really out-performed us a couple of weeks ago in Columbia. The final score says 6 points, but we were down by 15 in the second half, we were dominated in the game. I would hope our guys would be excited about having the opportunity to compete again and play again.

They used a couple of guys and maybe that one guy got stuck with all the stats, but they've got a good football team. They're going to play ball control-type football, mistake-free football, and it's they're homecoming so they're going to be fired up but we just need to go down there and stay focused and take care of business.

We kind of fought back a little in the second half. We got to within six or seven points and then they just annihilated us. Our big guys just looked like they were running in mud.

Yeah. He had spent a long time in this organization. For us, it was sad to see him go. He was sad to go. He?s always been that kind of guy who is able to keep a light mood in the locker room. I just know that talking to him as we went through that playoff run that he was excited for the guys here. He really was. He is just that kind of guy -- a genuine kind of guy. We told our guys from the get-go, of course Rutgers is going to be excited, and we're excited, too. Rutgers has a lot to prove. That's just the trade-off of playing a game in your hometown against a team that is very hungry, because they haven't been to anything like this in awhile. That doesn't diminish the fact our guys know how to compete, too.

Like coach said, we're not playing well right now, but we're getting better and we're going to keep fighting. Football's a rough game. It's a tough game. Things don't always go your way. It's a test of manhood to see what kind of guys we have on this football team.

I was just getting to know Ricky over the past couple of months. We hung out a little bit and it seemed like he was focused and excited about being back and carrying the ball, and for that to come about it's kind of shocking.

He's kind of a quiet guy, kind of like a silent assassin. But when he steps out on the court, he's trying to show more emotion. Going into his senior year, he needs to be more vocal with his team. Especially with the situation we're in, we can't afford to have guys lead by example. We have to have guys step up and voice their opinions.

The second half we settled in more and just played a little bit more focused. This was just kind of a random game. It was a tough flow to get into, but we hung in there with our defense.

He?s kind of started most of these guys into tennis. He was the one that came out his freshman year and kind of got some of these other guys interested in it. They?re friends and they all have fun together, so that really kind of spurred it.

There are a lot of guys kind of on the bubble that can either be that sort who turn into journeyman kind of guys that will find a new spot or guys that can make a claim to be in one place for a long time. You can name a lot of names this year, an unusual number. And I think that most of them will be OK.

Utah State really shot the ball well. I thought we did a great job on their post guys in the first half, and their perimeter guys kind of hurt us. Then in the second half, we did a better job on the perimeter, but the post guys kind of took it to us. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura.
