We've got a target on our backs because no one has beaten Soquel for so long and everyone's got nothing to lose. But we're looking at it like we're 1-0. It's all about winning a league championship.

We have beaten our direct opponent for the league...psychologically it's important because we haven't beaten them in the league for a long time.

It's a dream. Games like this, everything on the line, you have to give it your all. Everyone came out and gave it their all today. This year's been especially hard. We had a target on our backs, and it's harder to play with a target on your back sometimes, when teams have nothing to lose.

This is the same feeling we've had for the last couple of weeks. We've done something tremendous and the fans have had our backs, win or lose the whole year. It's good to see they're not only here when we're winning, but when we lose too.

To be 34-0, they had a target on their backs all season. We played a lot of the season with a target on our backs and it wasn't easy. It's easier for come in as a lower seed like us. I don't recommend it, but it takes the pressure off.

Hopefully, we can defend our championship and win it again. They have beaten us two times. We can't lose a third time to them.

The way we looked at (defending national champion) LSU last year — we went out to prove to them we were good enough to beat them — now, game one against Georgia Tech, they're going to look at us with a target on our backs. Coaches will have their teams hyped to beat us. We have to work harder than they do to be prepared.

Winning a championship is the No. 1 target, ... and anything less is not an option at this point.

It was a great year. We had 22 kids on the team. It was one of the bigger teams we've had. Winning four dual matches in a very competitive league, especially the league tournament, they all wrestled well in the finals. We have a great group of eighth-graders coming in next year. We have probably nine really solid eighth-graders. This will be one of the better freshman classes. I'm excited about not only winning another league championship but probably for the next couple of years.

It's great to have our league being talked about. Every team in the league is making some strides. I still think eight teams can win the Big Ten championship and in the long run that's going to help our recruiting, our exposure and the respect for our league.

Scott came very close to winning the championship at 135. He had a big day for us. In the semifinals, he beat a kid who had beaten him by technical fall earlier this season. So he had a very big day.

The European Cup is very important, but there are still a lot of games to play in the league and we want to start winning again as soon as possible so we can make the best finish to the season. But besides the championship we're still in the running for the Champions League and the Tim Cup . We want to win both these competitions.

I think we're a very legitimate team for a WNIT (spot). I think a lot will depend on who ends up winning our league. Last year, with the upset of Illinois State winning the championship, all of a sudden that bumped everybody down one. We kind of were the odd man out.

He'll have surgery and he will be put on IR. He's our team captain and he's the leader of our defensive backs. He's been in the league a long time. He's started 10 years in the league, so it's going to be hard to replace him.

If we win the game, it's a huge step towards winning the SEC championship. If we lose, it puts us in bit of a chase mode. We've been in both spots in the past. But we know that this game is not the end-all. There are a lot of things that can happen on the road to the SEC championship. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. If we win the game, it's a huge step towards winning the SEC championship. If we lose, it puts us in bit of a chase mode. We've been in both spots in the past. But we know that this game is not the end-all. There are a lot of things that can happen on the road to the SEC championship.
