We got beat by ordtak

We got beat by a lot better team tonight. We're not playing very well right now. Coming into a big rivalry game, you know you want to be up for that. For some reason, we just couldn't light that fire.

I am obviously a better-looking guy than he is. If we play basketball he wasn't very good; but the reason he does all the loose-ball drills is because that's how he had to get on the court as a player. But if it got down to he and I playing, it won't be a rivalry. To have a rivalry you have got to split some games, and he would never win a game from me.

It wasn't a rivalry, but now it's starting to become a rivalry again. It's kind of like you're playing against a guy in your neighborhood who you never beat. And you finally beat him -- your confidence gets sky-high.

I think that's what makes it so frustrating. You look at a game like tonight and you see how good we can look and then you say the only reason we lost tonight is because we beat ourselves. We let another team come back into it and we mentally kind of got shaken. I think that's something that's going to be the biggest thing going into the (Big East and NCAA) tournaments.

This is a rivalry game. They are a rivalry team, we knew that coming in.

It's a huge game to beat Benton. It's a big rivalry. I get up for the Benton week. I think our kids do, maybe we do even more than the kids because we remember how it was years ago. I think it's still a big rivalry. We had a ton of adversity this week and our seniors really came together. We had a teammate (FCHS senior Wes Miller) who was in a coma in St. Louis. I had no idea how we were going to show up. We had some kids miss practice to go up there, and that's fantastic. They really stood by their fallen teammate. We've been preaching all week to come together as a team and I think we did tonight.

Gulfport and Harrison Central is a big rivalry game, no doubt about it. They have a good team and are playing well. We'll have to play well to win. It's tough to beat Gulfport at their place.

We played really well tonight, and we're so happy to win our first title together. Yan and Zheng are a very good team – they beat (No.2 seeds) Pennetta and Ruano Pascual in the semis – so we had to play well and force them out of playing the game they like. It was my first time coming to Bali and I'm so glad I did. I've had a wonderful time from start to finish.

It's been six, seven, eight years anyway. It was a team we really wanted to get and we couldn't do it. But we were really fired up coming into tonight's game and the boys came through.

I told my guys coming into the game that it's a rivalry game and don't take anything for granted. (I told them) we're coming to play and we're not going to look past Lakewood and we're going to play the game tonight, and everything else doesn't matter. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit.

We couldn't play any better tonight than we played. You can always do something better, but given it's a championship-level game against truly one of the great coaches and he's playing in his hometown, to be able to win that game speaks volumes about our team.

I thought that they basically beat us in just about every facet of the game. For whatever reason, we didn't have it tonight, and I think as individuals, as a team, as a coaching staff, we have to take a level of responsibility in this performance.

It was pretty desolate after the fire. The fire burned hot enough to basically clean off the landscape. But the fire moved relatively fast through light, flashy fuels. For that reason, it didn't do a lot of soil damage.

I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

It was a tough loss [Friday], but we had to put it behind us. It happens to every team. Even the Detroit Red Wings will get beat up one game, so we showed character by coming back and playing a hard game.
